The brand new record Tom Moon & Awoma - 'Island' is coming soon! It's been an incredibly fun project and I hope that you will enjoy listening to the tracks as much as we've enjoyed writing, recording and performing them!

So far we have released two of the tracks from the 6 track record: She's So Far & Smiling Eyes Part II (a follow up from Smiling Eyes, featuring a sample from the original track from my 1st EP  entitled 'Smiling Eyes')

I'd love to hear your thoughts!!
Much Love, Tom. x

Below the tracks are some pics of us recording in the studio having 'Top Banter' aha.

Folkstock festival was an amazing event organised by a truly inspirational woman Helen Meissner, the creator of Folkstock arts Foundation.  http://www.folkstockartsfoundation.com/.
There were 70 acts spread across 4 stages and I got to check out tonnes of amazing acts including Fred’s House, Noel Cowley, Ben Smith  & Said the Maiden. I also got to meet loads of musicians who I have connected with online but never met in person such as the talented Connor Bannister. It was a pleasure to play on the 'Folkstock Presents' stage with Awoma & we’ll definitely play next year!!

Huge thanks to Redwood Photography for taking some great pics and for mentioning Awoma and I as one of the highlight acts of the festival! http://www.redwoodphotography.co.uk/live-music/folkstock/

I am hugely grateful to Tim Jenkins of Radio Warwickshire for for running a 30 minute interview on Radio Warwickshire. I talk about the writing and recording of 'By the By' & all 5 tracks on the album were aired live! Check out the interview here:

It all came about when my track 'Stay' was played on Tamsin Rosewell's show on Radio Warwickshire! My music was kindly put forward by Helen Meissener of Folkstock http://www.folkstockartsfoundation.com who has been backing my music for quite a while now . Tim Jenkins was producing the show and really liked the vibe of 'Stay' & put forward an interest in working with me! I'm really excited to have the opportunity to work with someone who has so much experience in the music industry! Watch this space...

Also, check out the Mini-documentary created by Steve Sale that shows the recording of the record!

Peace,

Check out the Brand New live acoustic session with Mitchell Peryer of our new track 'Shes So Far'  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wd8-nMNw3EM

It's been a total pleasure to work with Mitch, check out his website  http://www.mitchellperyer.com/
He's a super talented guy and a really nice guy to be working with. I first met him early this year and we filmed 2 sessions in an igloo in London's Southbank.

For the first track I recorded 'Tonight' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGlHfJ1vLlE and I also did a cover of perhaps my favourite ever song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers 'Under the Bridge'  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EoqSXWTH_Q.

I would love to work with Mitchell again in the future! Check out his YouTube Chanel and subscribe! http://www.youtube.com/user/mitchellperyer?feature=watch.

My first blog post: A year in London!

September 1st 2013, it’s amazing how time flies!

A year ago, I quit a job, sold my car, left Liverpool and came down to London to take my music to the next level. I was very blessed initially being able to secure a new job in the Hospital School and find a place to live. It’s been an incredible journey and I hope to give you a flying tour of my musical journey over the last year.

In early September I began recording my 3rd EP 'By the By'with Steve Sale; I had already recorded 2 EP's with a good friend Chunky at Tyro Studios 'Smiling Eyes' & 'Like the Sun'. My music has since had plays on radio stations across 3 countries & has been played on BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio!

In October I started approaching promoters trying to secure gigs. I struggled initially until Steve at The Castle kindly allowed me to play at his Open Mic night in Notting Hill. So I played my first gig in London (My boss came along! How awesome is that!?)! From then on I've never looked back, played around 40 gigs across London and more recently Oxford & Cambridge, including 4 festivals. Playing live has taught me an enormous amount and has been an incredible experience.

Late last year I set up a Facebook fan page and the response has been amazing and really humbling. www.facebook.com/tommoonmusic .It provides a great way for me to communicate with people who like my music! I have been really lucky making contacts, including the boys at ontsofa.com and Mitchell Peryer, and now have well over 19 videos on YouTube www.yotube.com/tommoon87  .  The video for ‘Stay’ that Steve Sale created was featured on the official Coldplay website! How cool is that!?

In March I went to Liverpool to visit some mates for the weekend. My good friend Ben was there too and I played the boys my music late one night. Ben (or as he's known in the music world Awoma) started rapping on my track ‘Like the Sun’. I knew we had something straight away! I had never heard the collaboration of styles before and from that point on we started jamming, writing, recording and gigging together. A few weekends ago we went to the Tyro studios with Chunky and recorded the upcoming EP/album Island. My flatmate Gareth came down and played bass and Chunky played drums. The overall vibe of the tracks is awesome and I really hope you will enjoy the new material! Watch this space….

Thankyou so much for the continual support!!!! I hope the next year proves to be just as, if not more exciting than last year!

Much Love,

Tom
